SOLD OUT

In Paris, an elegant woman stands motionless in front of a shop window crossed by the word “SOLD(ES)”, her small dog held close against her. The cold lines of the façade and the pedestrian crossing enclose the scene in a silent geometry. Sold Out plays on the ambiguity of the title: behind the call to consume lies the more intimate feeling that something is now missing.

Alone in Kyoto from the film LOST IN TRANSLATION

0:000:00

Alone in Kyoto, by Air, wraps the image in a distant, contemplative softness. Its delicate notes slow down the street, isolate the woman from her surroundings and give the word “SOLD(ES)” a melancholic resonance. The music turns an ordinary moment of waiting into an inner drift, as if Paris had suddenly become an almost foreign city.
