On the quays of Paris, a woman photographs herself in front of an Eiffel Tower left out of frame. The flash from her phone tears her silhouette from the darkness and casts an almost living shadow behind her. Around her, the cobblestones vanish into the night. Belle de Nuit captures this moment when the desire to preserve a memory paradoxically reveals a profound urban solitude.
