ICE CREAMS & PYJAMAS
Istanbul, Turkey
April 2025
In an alleyway in Istanbul, three little girls in pyjamas cross the street, ice creams in hand, as though the whole neighbourhood belonged to them. Around them, worn walls, cars and adults create a more serious backdrop. Yet their carefree spirit splits the scene open with light. Ice Creams and Pyjamas celebrates childhood when it turns everyday life into an adventure, without ever asking permission.

Childhood (2) from the film GOOD BYE LENIN !
The delicate notes of Childhood (2), composed by Yann Tiersen for Goodbye Lenin!, lay a tender nostalgia over the image. The music looks at these little girls from adulthood, aware that their freedom will not last. It turns their ice creams, pyjamas and laughter into precious, almost eternal memories.
