In Corinth, a pug stands proudly on a graffiti-covered low wall. Its direct gaze, confident stance and floral harness give it the air of a little urban guardian. Behind it, a man remains seated, absent. Dog in Black Variation turns this ordinary encounter into an offbeat portrait, in which the animal suddenly seems to know something we are still completely unaware of.
